  • Take the time to learn a musical instrument and participate in some recitals to obtain experience performing in front of others.
  • Get hands-on experience by volunteering at your local community television cable access station.
  • Get on-the-job experience through an internship and post-secondary training in your area of interest.

The Performing Arts pathway contains a variety of careers based on specific knowledge, skill-sets, and necessary educational requirements. Those who enter careers in this pathway tend to have strong interests in being on stage, on television or in front of the camera. Many also work behind the scenes to support the final product on stage, in a movie, or on TV. They are creative and hard working people who have great dreams of hitting the performing arts jackpot!

This pathway has some of the most exciting and enjoyable occupations- very hard to obtain, but far from impossible.
