You are probably more creative than you realize, and you likely have an aptitude for business. JA Company Program students constantly discover this to be true.

Each year, more than 300,000 JA Company Program students participate in starting and running businesses. They develop products, business plans and marketing strategies. Most are quite successful and produce profits. View some of the innovative products that students developed. Maybe you'll be inspired and become an entrepreneur, too!


2011 North American Region JA Company of the Year, Washington D.C.

L.Y.M.E. (Leave Your Mark Everywhere), High School for Recording Arts, St. Paul, Minnesota, 1st Place

Unique and custom radio advertisements for local businesses. The advertisements were created, mixed, and mastered in a radio studio and then aired on the school's radio show and 96.3NOW, a top 40 radio station for the Twin Cities in MN.

Eco-Eventerprise, Harmonium Epicentre Team Center (afterschool program), San Diego, California, 2nd Place

Table centerpieces created with recycled material such as water bottles, card board and tissue paper.

2010 Asia Pacific Region JA Company of the Year, Hong Kong

Cozy Care, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, 1st Place

Students designed and created “Care Cushions” a portable cushion that customers can use for comfortable seating anytime, anywhere. Read their annual report.

SKIPCO, Bangkok, Thailand, FedEx Access Award Winner

 “Jazz Hands” is an anti-bacterial hand sanitizer made with Aloe Vera, offered in two scents - Original and Cherry Blossom.  The product was professionally and exclusively produced for SKIP CO by a FDA-certified manufacturer. Check out their business plan.

2010 America Region JA Company of the Year, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Cu$hqui Pocket. Quito Pichincha, Ecuador, 1st Place

This company produced wallets made from recycled tetra packs (juice or milk cartons). The company is strongly focused on environmentally sustainable practices. Review their annual report.

Juggly JA, Quito Pichincha, Ecuador, FedEx Access Award Winner

These teen entrepreneurs successfully produced and marketed "foot bags" (hacky-sacks) made from 100 percent Ecuadorian sourced, biodegradable materials. View their annual report.

2010 Africa Region JA Company of the Year, Nairobi, Kenya

Lusoti Investors Investments (PTY) Ltd, Swaziland, S. Africa, 1st Place

Lusoti Investors Investments (PTY) LTD manufactured and distributed quality white chalk to the schools in the Lubombo Region of Swaziland to meet local schools needs. More information on their annual report.

Shoe Supremacy, Botswana, S. Africa, 2nd Place

This JA Company produced traditional high-quality leather shoes with soles made from recycled tires and decorated with beads, fur and German print materials. View their report for details.
