
2011 Destined to Travel with JA Official Rules
The Destined to Travel with JA Contest will begin on September 27, 2011 and end on November 1, 2011. The Contest is offered by Junior Achievement USA™, 1 Education Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 which is solely responsible for all aspects of this contest. Participation constitutes entrant's agreement to and acceptance of these rules.
Eligibility:
- High School grade students (14 years and older) in the U.S. who have completed the online Destination Build lesson and the Destined to Travel with JA Quiz are eligible to enter the contest. Employees, officers and directors of Junior Achievement USA, their affiliates, subsidiaries and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouses) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the contest.
- Limit of one entry per person.
How to Enter:
- Play Destination Build online through the JA Student Center and the Hospitality and Tourism career sector.
- Complete registration form. Registration information consists of first and last name, date of birth, grade, high school, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, and email address.
- Complete an online Destined to Travel with JA Quiz. The quiz has five questions related to the Destination Build interactive lesson and the impact of tourism and the needs of the community. Students will need to carefully consider the concepts learned using Destination Build to answer the questions correctly.
Prize:
Weekend package provided by Walt Disney World® Resort including :
- Two nights lodging in a water view room for up to four guests at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort. This voucher is valid until 9/19/2014.
- Twelve One-Day, Park Hopper® passes to Disney World. Theses passes expire 9/05/2013.
- A $2,000 stipend for transportation to/from Disney World and other expenses. The prize cannot exchanged or transferred.
Drawing and Notification:
- The winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about November 2, 2011 by Junior Achievement USA.
Prize Conditions:
- The value of the award will be taxable to the winner as income. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued in the name of the winner at the end of the calendar year for the actual value of the award. A copy of the form will be filed with the IRS. All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and/or use of the award are solely the winner's responsibility. The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes. The winner will be required to provide Junior Achievement USA with a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number and a legal address before any prize will be awarded.
- The winner (or his/her parent or legal guardian if under 18) will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Releases.
- The winner is required to participate in publicity activities related to the announcement of the award.
- If the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to a potential winner, if potential winner cannot be reached within seven (7) calendar days from the first notification attempt, if potential winner fails to return required documents within the specified time period, or if a potential winner is not in compliance with these official rules, then such person shall be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected for the prize.
